Dear Mom tired of reading the same children’s book with your kid every day,
It’s World Book Day on March 5th! We love reading children’s books with Potato since he was only a few months old. Now we read at least 2 books to bed almost every night. In most cases, it’s the same two books. We rotate some new ones in there, mainly because I say we’re going to add a new book to our bedtime. If I leave it up to Potato he will read the same book every night.
Reading books with your child is great quality time. It fosters growth and development for their brain. It’s a win-win situation for the parent and child. Reading books to children early on also teaches them many things. They learn to grow their imagination, the art of story-telling, and about worlds outside of their own. They also learn the value of reading to grow their brain. This translates to learning and development in other areas of their life, such as school.
I’m super happy we started to read to Potato when he was a few months old. I’m even more excited to see him read books on his own and take initiative to read books with us. Most of the books below Potato received by family and friends. They are completely behind our community of encouraging reading.
The other books we bought through the Scholastic Book Club (https://clubs.scholastic.com/home) Through his daycare we receive a discount code and teacher’s name. With this, we’re able to order books delivered to the daycare or home. I encourage you to see if your child’s daycare or school has the same program.
It’s definitely worth it. Potato loves to choose the books he wants to read. I get the books super cheap. Everyone is happy!
